Jade Hamilton has visions. Only she and her father, Walt, know. What she sees usually comes true, so when she sees the death of Emmie Linderhoff, a little girl of 5 or 6 years old, she knows she has to stop it. She doesn't realize when she takes the little girl from the park that day, just what she's walked into.
Jaded Visions is a well paced mystery/ thriller by author T.L. Jones. Jones, a former police officer, has a unique ability to dig deeply into the character of Jade, bringing forth a strength of character that's amazing to see. We believe in her and her visions, hoping they will work in her favor and bring the villain to justice before he can kill again. Jade is a complex person. Her mother died when she was young and it's been just her and her father for most of her life. Her visions also started when she was little and her father's loving support and belief in her have made her far stronger than even she realizes. Ryan Douglas is a police officer. As a friend of Walt's, he's brought into the circle of trust when Jade takes Emmie away. Concerned about her being prosecuted for kidnapping, he works hard to win her trust so she will bring Emmie back. He has no doubt she will care for the child, but their safety is the most important thing on his mind-well, of secondary importance to his attraction for Jade. George Dunleavy is Ryan's older, wiser partner. He isn't sure he believes in Jade's visions, but he certainly believes in his partner. Jaded Visions is a wonderful novel and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a mystery/ thriller with a paranormal edge.

But he has to keep his head in the game in order to find out the truth about this murderer and keep Jade and Emme safe. But as soon as this is taken care of he is determined to make Jade his, if he can wait that long. This was a interesting book. There were twist and turns that you did not see coming . I liked Jade she is a strong women not letting any one even fear keep her from what she knew she needed to do. Ryan is a very handsome quick witted man he makes a great man for Jade . Emme is very cute she is the perfect little girl any one who met her would just fall in love with her. Walt is an amazing single dad he took care of Jade and believed in her when most would have thought she had lost her mind. There are a few other strong side characters in this book that were also great. I thought it was well put together and it flowed very nicely. It reminded me a lot of an episode of Medium. I think T.L. Jones's knowledge of Police procedures and normal actions were very evident in this book it made it very realistic. It has a very happy ending that was a bit too much for me , but it was good any way. Also I don't feel that it had the normal supernatural feel I normally like in my books i prefer a few Vamps , Witches , Wares, and such. But this book had a real feel to it and was put together very well . It is a definite recommend read. Thank you to T.L. Jones for giving us a chance to read and review this book. I will be looking forward to seeing more from her in the future. My Rating: |
